The first thing that you need to do is to register your self at the website of Dubai Tourism Holiday Homes.

Now keep in mind that either a homeowner or an operator can register on this website. If you are a tenant, ask your landlord to register and then give you NOC. Assuming that you are the home owner, you should select the homeowner in the registration type.

In the next step, you have to specify a manager for the property. It can be either landlord or any other person appointed by the landlord. Whoever the person maybe to manage this property, enter their details along with passport number and emirates ID number as well.

In step number four, you will be asked to submit the scanned copy of the manager’s Emirates ID. Make sure that the scanned copy is not blurred or the application may get rejected after few days of waiting.

In step five, you will be presented with a screen where you are required to review and verify the information provided by you. If you think any of the information is wrong, you can go back in the window and change it accordingly.

After successful submission of the application, an email will be sent to you with a record number and acknowledgement. In the same email, you will also find a username and password to have access to your account online. A waiting period of at least two days is required for activation of your account.

Once the account is activated, you will receive a confirmation email and then you can log into your account. Follow the link given in step number one to access your account. As of now, the electronic payment is not accepted on the website but the plans to accept funds digitally or in process at the moment.
You can visit Dubai Tourism offices located on ground, 6th, 8th, and 9th floor of Al Fattan Plaza in Garhoud on the Airport road. The working hours are from 8am until 5pm. make sure to bring all the required documents with you which are mentioned in step number eight below.

If you are an homeowner, you will need to submit following documents;
- Copy of Title Deed
- DEWA Bills
If you are a tenant then following documents will be required;
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from homeowner
- Title Deed
- Homeowner’s passport copy
- Homeowner’s authorization letter
- Ejari registration
- DEWA bills
Dubai Short Term Rental Process – Step # 9
There is an annual registration fee for AED 1,500 to be paid against each property. Along with that you will be charged AED 50 for unit classification, AED 10 as knowledge fee and AED 10 as innovation fee.
For each bedroom in your property, you will pay AED 300 annually and a maximum of AED 1,200. It means if you have a 5 bedroom villa, you will pay AED 1,200 annually instead of AED 1,500.
Since you are going to be using your property as holiday home, a tourism Dirham of AED 10 or AED 15 will be charged per bedroom. This depends on the classification of your property standard or deluxe.
For a longer stay of more than one month, the tourism Dirham will be charged only for first 30 days.

The final step is receiving the final license for your property. Once you have the license in your hands, you are legally eligible to rent your property as a holiday home in Dubai.
